It has been a long road all for a good cause, to restore California to its rightful promise. Along the way, I have come to know many of you whom I regard as my friends and for that I will forever be grateful. I am truly honored for the faith and confidence you have all entrusted in me as your candidate. In some way, I feel as if though I have let you all down. My deepest regret is that I will not have the opportunity to carry through our vision of change to Sacramento and bring the promise of restoration to all hard working Californians as we had hoped.
After a long night of anticipation with us leading in the polls at first and than falling behind and trailing, it was an unforgettable roller coaster ride for us. Despite California losing many of the Republican seats in the state and surrendering to the Democrats a super majority not only in the Senate but also the Assembly, we cannot despair! Most importantly, I believe we cannot lose hope or give up the good fight! With every impending crisis comes opportunity, and I still believe that if the Republicans get the right message out to energize California voters, we can and will come back to win in the next election rounds.
With that parting hope, I would like to once again extend my sincere thanks for all your support and wish each and every one of you the very best.
